Mirënjohja Foundation is committed to strengthening the quality of charitable work through sustainable social and development projects that support a dignified life for people most in need, while fostering the values of social solidarity through standards of transparency and excellence.
Since its beginnings in 2009, Mirënjohja Foundation has embraced a human and moral responsibility: serving people, strengthening the values of social solidarity, and responding to the needs of the most vulnerable groups in Albanian society, in a spirit of sincerity, partnership and generosity.
The foundation was established as a non-profit humanitarian charity operating in the Republic of Albania. Its creation responded to real needs in society, and from the outset it combined emergency relief with long-term development work, with the generous support of donors and partner institutions, particularly charitable and official institutions in the State of Kuwait.
We believe that genuine charitable work goes beyond meeting an immediate need. It also means building people’s capacities and empowering them, creating sustainable impact that improves the lives of individuals and communities.

Our journey (2009–2025)
Since its establishment, the foundation has gone through several stages of development. It began with limited emergency-relief projects and gradually expanded to include major construction and long-term development initiatives. Over the years, the foundation has become an active participant in charitable work in Albania, built on the trust of donors and the needs of local communities. The period from 2014 to 2024 marked clear growth in both the scale of projects and the number of beneficiaries, including the construction of mosques and centres as well as health, educational and social projects.
